Poker Run Winners

A poker run Saturday sponsored by the Golden Lake Property Owners Association was a lot of fun for the participants and a good fundraiser for the association. From left to right are Karen Utronkie, won first prize of $200 cash and a $200 gift certificate from George's Marine and Sports, with her 4 Queens; George Wilcox, who presented the prize; Weldon McEachen, representing Killaloe Sportsplus; Judy Kelly, second place winner of $100 cash and a $100 certificate from Sportsplus with her full house hand of 3 Aces and a pair of 9s; Kathy Lampi, winner of third prize with her full house of 3 Aces and a pair of 4s, a $50 gift certificate from the Sands, presented by Jeff Scharf. Kevin O'Connor reported that the Poker Run was a great success for its first year. Eighty people played poker and another 25 people bought lunch tickets from GLPOA. The Sands reported that 175 lunches were served, the majority of which were associated with the poker run.
