Some comments from members and supporters
I just want to say that I’m impressed with how quickly you’ve
organized and become effective. You are all doing a great job. The
work you and the team are doing is great and a membership fee of $20 is
a bargain. Richard
Fournier I just wanted to send a
quick note to say how nice it is to have the river marked. With
the water being down so much, it's a must. Last year, I
waived an American lad down who was cruising through that area
and he didn't have any appreciation for the huge rocks that lay ahead.
Good work and thanks for making our river a little safer. Also,
I would like to have my name added to the list of people wanting cell
phone service. Having small children adds to the importance
of having good reliable telephone service. Thank you for the work
everyone has done to date and here's hoping our water level increases
and stays up next year. Steve Lawson I was at the June 2nd meeting and continue to be
impressed with the professional and effective management by our
Executive Committee and Directors. Much has been accomplished in a short
time. I have to congratulate you and your Board of
Directors on both the excellent website you have developed and the
important work that has been undertaken over the past several years. Not
only is the GLPOA making the lake safer for boaters, but is
providing services that are a benefit to residents and
non-residents alike who enjoy the use of the lake. Most importantly,
GLPOA keeps people in touch with information and news that affect them
directly and signals the values people have about Golden Lake. GLPOA, though a young organization, has lost no time in
taking some very positive steps towards improving the lake environment.
Keep up the good work! You
and your board are doing great work for the Lake and
River. I was at the annual meeting in Killaloe although I arrived late.
I was impressed with the turnout and the shared information. I would like to say how impressed I was with the
progress that the association has made in one
year. I know it is a huge amount of work and
commitment on the part of the executive, and I wanted to say that
I greatly appreciate your efforts. Thank you. I
just finished looking over our new Golden Lake Website. I would
like to congratulate all involved in producing this site. It is
excellent and contained very interesting information. Thanks for all the
great work and see you in the spring. Thanks ever so much to
you and your committee for the newsletter and for the work you are doing
on our behalf. I very much appreciate being kept in
touch and though not a web buff, I did take a peek at the site and
find it comprehensive, easy to maneuver, well written and
illustrated and informative. Congratulations to all concerned. |
